- Asbestos testing coordination for pre-1980 homes (testing fees paid to lab separately)
- Written quote before any work begins
Site Preparation
- All furniture moved away from walls and work areas
- Heavy plastic sheeting on all floors in work areas
- Wall edges taped to protect trim and paint
- HVAC vents sealed to prevent dust from entering systems
- Smoke detectors disabled and re-enabled after work
Removal
- Ceiling misted with water for softening (unpainted ceilings)
- Full texture scraped with HEPA-filtered vacuum tools
- All debris collected and removed from your property
Skim Coat
- First skim coat applied over entire ceiling surface
- Dried overnight
- Second skim coat applied to fill remaining imperfections
- Dried overnight
- Full surface sanding to Level 5 finish under raking light
- Surface cleaned before priming
Prime and Paint
- Bonding primer coat applied and dried
- First finish coat of Sherwin-Williams Ceiling White
- Dried and inspected
- Second finish coat applied
Cleanup and Completion
